Welp. This took an unexpected turn.
Damian Lillard was trolled out of the arena by Patrick Beverly and Marcus Morris on Saturday after missing two potential game winning free throws during the Trail Blazers game against the Clippers.
After the game, Lillard had some choice words for Beverley, Paul George and anyone else on the Clippers’ team who would’ve joined in on the trolls. The message was basically “I sent y’all home before so chill.”
The message was clearly received. Not too long after clips of Lillard’s response to Beverley’s troll reached the internet, the Clippers’ players jumped on Instagram to respond.
Patrick Beverley’s message? “Cancun on 3.” Ouch. Paul George’s message? “You getting sent home this year.”
Damian Lillard’s response? Man, it was cold.
“Keep switching teams…running from the grind. You boys is chumps.”
Fam. Not only did Lillard let them know that the only reason Paul George is on that team is because he hit a 35 footer in his face last year, but he’s also calling out George for dipping out on Oklahoma City the way he did. And he called the Clippers “chumps” on top of that.
The Clippers and the Blazers will probably never play again this season. But, again, six more of these would be extremely nice.
