Damian Lillard needed 3 letters to shut down Paul George’s salty reaction to the series-winning shot

The Portland Trail Blazers eliminated the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night thanks to one of the gutsiest, cold-blooded shots we’ve seen in the NBA playoffs.

With time winding down and the score tied at 115 apiece, Damian Lillard pulled up for a DEEP contested, step-back 3 over Paul George. That result was the Blazers’ first series win since 2016, and we can’t blame Lillard for basking in the moment.

Just as the rest of Twitter was going nuts about the series-winning shot, Lillard had himself a Twitter victory lap once he finally got hold of his phone. He particularly took notice to George’s postgame quote that called Lillard’s shot a “bad shot.”

He only needed three letters to shut that down.

An “lol” has never been more ruthless.

Plus, that wasn’t all.

A look over to Lillard’s likes, and you’ll see that Russell Westbrook was Photoshopped onto a baby that Lillard was holding.

Lillard said after the game that Oklahoma City’s trash talk fueled his goodbye wave following the shot. But even after losing on a ridiculously difficult shot, George decided to take a swipe at Lillard’s efforts.

You can’t really blame Lillard for taking the celebration to Twitter after those comments.
