Damian Lillard had a great reason for waving goodbye to the Thunder after game-winner

Damian Lillard hit a beautiful 40-foot 3-pointer at the buzzer Tuesday night to beat the Oklahoma City Thunder and push the Portland Trail Blazers into the second round.

And while Lillard soaked it all in with teammates and fans after hitting the beautiful shot, he did take a second to wave goodbye to the Thunder bench before really starting to celebrate.

The wave was caught by TV cameras and fans on Twitter loved it. He of course was asked about it after the game and Lillard gave a great answer that was just as cold-blooded as his game-winning shot from way downtown:

He really hit a step back fadeaway…from 37 feet as time expired…nailed it…then proceeded to wave goodbye to the Thunder as they’re eliminated…then dropped an instant classic meme afterwards.
