After a long wait, it appears that we finally have an idea about the hoopers who will join LeBron James on the ‘Space Jam 2’ set this summer as he is set to reboot the iconic Warner Bros. franchise.
The Athletic’s Shams Charania dropped the news on Wednesday night about the ‘Space Jam 2’ cast, which will feature new teammate Anthony Davis, as well as Golden State’s Klay Thompson, Portland’s Damian Lillard and WNBA stars Diana Taurasi (Phoenix Mercury) and Nneka Ogwumike.
It was previously reported that the ‘Space Jam 2’ production was struggling to attract top talent to join LeBron on the set for much of the summer, but it appears that they’ve found a lot of top NBA stars to fill the need as well as two of the best players in the women’s game.
Also, don’t expect the participation in ‘Space Jam 2’ to result in a downturn for the players involved. While Klay Thompson will be rehabbing from a torn ACL, LeBron James has already made sure that there will be a full hardwood court on the set of the film so that the participants can play in some very competitive pick-up games.
