Damarious Randall sees no reason why Browns can’t make Super Bowl

Browns safety Damarious Randall has played on playoff teams in his NFL career. The former Packer believes this Browns team has everything in place to surpass his 2016 squad in Green Bay that won two playoff games and advanced to the NFC championship game.

Randall shared his confidence in his team on Friday with reporters after practice. And he started out by lamenting missed opportunities last year with what he felt was a playoff team.

“I honestly didn’t think it was crazy last year (to make a playoff run),” Randall said via the Akron Beacon Journal. “If you look at the team we had and if you look at some of the close games we lost because of this or because of that — officials here, officials there — at the end of the day, we were a playoff team last year.

“And with the pieces that we added, if we stick together and we stay healthy and we just keep building this team chemistry,” Randall continued, “there is no reason why we shouldn’t be playing up in January and ultimately in February.”

That means Super Bowl LIV. It’s a lofty goal, but it’s clear from the moves GM John Dorsey has made that the organization believes it can win right now too.
