Notice someone missing from NBC’s Twitter? Yeah, so did Browns safety Damarious Randall.
Baker Mayfield is surprisingly absent.
And Randall led the charge to get his quarterback some respect.
The mentions on the original tweet were deluged with Baker Mayfield omission comments. Even the Browns’ own social media got involved.
As for the likelihood Mayfield is the first QB to 2,000 passing yards, adding Odell Beckham Jr. and his YAC ability certainly helps. Mayfield finished 17th — tied with Drew Brees — in passing yards per game in 2018, so he needs the spike. The Week 7 bye poses a problem in a race to 2,000, unfortunately.
