Damaged cash machine in middle of a road taped off by police

A damaged cash machine left in the middle of a road has been taped off by police and crime scene investigators.

Pictures show the smashed-up ATM machine on Harpurhey Road in Harpurhey at around 8pm on Tuesday evening (December 31).

Debris from the machine is strewn across the road.

Greater Manchester Police are yet to release details about what happened.

Officers are currently at the scene, as well as crime scene investigators.

A police photographer was also seen taking pictures of the cash machine.

Harpurhey Road remains closed off by police tape between Rochdale Road and Waterloo Street.
