Dalvin Cook outperforms Ezekiel Elliott, pushes Vikings to win over Cowboys

Vikings running back Dalvin Cook had the goal of outrushing Cowboys running Ezekiel Elliott on Sunday Night Football.

Mission accomplish, and his team got the win.

Cook finished with 97 rushing yards to go with 86 receiving yards in Minnesota’s 28-24 win over Dallas. Elliott finished with 47 rushing yards on 20 carries to go with 16 receiving yards.

Minnesota’s third-year running back is just nine yards away from his first 1,000-yard season, something he’ll get next week against the Broncos at U.S. Bank Stadium.

Cook is on pace for 1,584 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns to go with 678 receiving yards.
