Vikings running back Dalvin Cook is healthy and has been on an absolute tear this season.
Through eight games, Cook has 823 rushing yards and nine touchdowns to go with 29 catches for 293 yards.
That has Cook at No. 2 in Maurice Jones-Drew’s running back rankings over at NFL.com. The only running back ahead of Cook is Carolina’s Christian McCaffrey.

The Vikings’ offense has the upperhand this week against a beat-up Chiefs defense that has been without several key players. I expect Minnesota to keep it old school with Cook leading the way in an effort to top the Chiefs at Arrowhead. The Vikings have a good shot to win their fifth straight with the way Cook has been playing.
We’ll see if Cook can keep it up in Week 9 against a Chiefs team that is allowing 145 rushing yards per game, a mark that ranks 30th in the NFL.
