Dalry Thistle unveil plans for youth academy featuring boys and girls teams

Dalry Thistle have unveiled ambitious plans for a youth academy.

The North Ayrshire outfit want boys and girls teams across all age groups involved in the proposed new set-up.

Now they are looking for existing youth teams in the area to sign up and get the exciting project off the ground.

The plan is to have a range of teams playing under the club with a common identity.

Dalry, who play in the West of Scotland League, announced the news on their Facebook page earlier this week and are now appealing for members of the public to get involved.

The club say numerous roles will need to be filled in order to meet the necessary criteria to establish an academy.

These include, but are not limited to, chairperson, secretary, treasurer, child protection officer, coach coordinator and social media officer.

An initial meeting will be held in The Black Bull pub in Vennel Street, Dalry on Monday, January 17 at 6.30pm for anyone interested in going along.
