Dalry community comes together to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee

The Dalry community came together in the town hall to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on Friday.

Eighty people turned out with their picnics intent on having a good time, with a magician keeping the crowd entertained.

The picnic is about to start (Bobby Geddes)

There were also stalls for the children and face painting proved popular with the young – and not so young!

The day also featured a treasure hunt and the chance to enjoy some film memories of the Queen’s 70-year reign.

Jim and Elizabeth Gourlay won the competition for the best dressed house and Indie-Rose won the contest to name the corgi.
