Dallas sportscaster Dale Hansen on why the Cowboys 2019 ‘is a perfect metaphor for life in America’

The always brilliant WFAA sportscaster Dale Hansen is back with another one of his “Unplugged” segments, in which he delivers an honest opinion to camera. Past subjects have included the hypocrisy of Jerry Jones’ national anthem policy, white privilege in the NFL, and critics who ripped Andrew Luck for retiring.

Earlier this week, he delivered a speech about why the 2019 Dallas Cowboys season is “a perfect metaphor for life in America now.”

“No matter how bad the Cowboys are, how much they disappoint, the promises they don’t keep, the embarrassing performances game after game, they apparently do just enough so the loyalty of the Cowboys fan never wavers.”

“Now,” he added later, “no matter how many outrageous claims to greatness the man in charge will make, so many he appears to be delusional at times, the lies they tell, the questions they refuse to answer, the laws and rules they break, the incompetent people they hire only to be fired, it’s never their fault. It’s the fault of the critic who dares to question their greatness because the true believers know their team is the best team.”
