Dallas Keuchel pitches 7 strong innings, but the White Sox lose 1-0 to the Brewers, ending their winning streak at 6

CHICAGO _ Dallas Keuchel pitched seven strong innings Wednesday for the Chicago White Sox, but the offense couldn't get anything going against Adrian Houser as the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Sox 1-0 at Guaranteed Rate Field.

Keuchel allowed one run on five hits and struck out eight. Houser allowed five hits in seven shutout innings as the Sox winning streak ended at six games.

The Brewers strung together three consecutive singles in the third. The third hit, by Eric Sogard, brought in the game's only run.

The Sox threatened in the sixth, placing runners on the corners with two outs. Houser struck out Jose Abreu to end the inning.

Danny Mendick, starting at second base in place of the injured Nick Madrigal, had three hits in the loss.
