Dallas Goedert TD gives Eagles a 10-6 lead over the Cowboys at the half

The Philadelphia Eagles have dominated the Dallas Cowboys in a highly contested first half, but after letting big-play opportunities slip away, the Birds are only up 4 at the half.

The Eagles had 223 total yards in the first half compared to the Cowboys’ 141. Philadelphia led the first down battle as well, accumulating 13 first downs to Dallas’ 5.

More important, The Birds crushed the time of possession battle, holding the ball for 20:44 compared to Cowboys’ 9:13.

With all that, Philadelphia enters the second half with just a 10-6 lead and the Cowboys getting the ball first to start the second half.

JJ Arcega-Whiteside emerged out the gate, making a 27-yard catch over the middle on the first play of the game, and later snagged a 12-yard catch on third down to keep the drive moving.

The Eagles eventually settled for a 36-yard field goal by kicker Jake Elliott.

On the next drive, The Eagles went 63 yards on seven plays for a touchdown. Miles Sanders had a 29-yard catch-and-run and it ended with quarterback Carson Wentz and tight end Dallas Goedert hooking up for a 6-yard score.
