Dallas Goedert’s development at TE could allow Eagles to move Ertz around even more

Zach Ertz broke records last season, had over 100 catches and yet, will be even more productive if Dallas Goedert can take the next step as a tight end. Goedert is the better blocker of the two, so his emergence as a tight end could prove vital for the Eagles success going forward.

Goedert spent his offseason working out in California, and it’s showed, as the Eagles co-starting tight end has been making huge plays during the first stages of OTAs and minicamp.

Goedert has performed so well that according to Mike Kaye of NJ.com, his “phenomenal” improvement, could allow Ertz to line up in different spots all over the field.

Goedert, the Eagles second-round pick out of South Dakota State was impressive as a rookie, catching 33 passes for 334 yards and four touchdowns. He performed well under the bright lights of the playoffs as well, racking up two catches and a touchdown in Philadelphia’s playoff victory over the Chicago Bears.
