Dallas Goedert had the most impressive spring according to his Eagles teammates

Dallas Goedert is improving daily and performing so well that Zach Ertz could end up playing a different position. No, the Eagles aren’t moving on the from the NFL’s top tight end, but Goedert’s ability and talent have made it so Ertz can become even more versatile, and not necessarily from the tight end position.

The Eagles are scheduled to report for training camp on July 24, and after the final minicamp practice concluded, The Athletic’s Bo Wulf embarked on the mission of finding out which Eagles player impressed his own teammates the most. Even with Carson Wentz looking fabulous, DeSean Jackson returning and JJ Arcega-Whiteside adding another dimension, hands down the most impressive player via his teammates was the Eagles second-year tight end.

Jalen Mills — “Who impressed me? Dallas Goedert. In that red zone, he crazy. He’s dangerous in the red zone.”

Tre Sullivan — “I would say Dallas. Dallas impressed me. I mean, we already knew he was a good player, good red-zone target, but, you know, he’s just opening his game as an overall tight end.”

Deiondre’ Hall — “Whole team? Probably Goedert. He was balling this offseason.”

Marken Michel — “Probably Goedert. Coming in, I already seen, we knew he was an outstanding tight end. But that guy, man, he made some catches that were just like, ‘What the hell?’ He’s a hell of a person, but he’s also just a hell of a playmaker. Whenever the ball in the air, he’s got that ‘My ball’ mentality. No matter where the quarterback puts it, he always goes up and gets it. Not just with two hands, but one hand as well.”

With such high praise, it’s definitely not far fetched to believe that Goedert can double the 33 receptions for 334 yards and four touchdowns he had last season.
