The Dallas Cowboys have decided on who will replace Mike McCarthy as head coach. Brian Schottenheimer will be the head coach of America’s Team.
Schottenheimer, 51, joined the Cowboys in 2022 as a consultant, working mostly with former defensive coordinator Dan Quinn. When Moore left for the Los Angeles Chargers in 2022 after McCarthy took over playcalling duties, Schottenheimer was hired as the offensive coordinator.
Schottenheimer has been an NFL assistant coach or coordinator for several college and pro teams since 1998.
Congrats, Coach Schottenheimer! ⭐️

This will be his first job as a head coach. He steps into a team that had a down year in 2024, partly due to a rash of injuries. The Cowboys finished 7-10, scoring 350 points and allowing 468. The team was 3-5 when starting quatrerback Dak Prescott was lost for the season due to injury.
They were the defending NFC East champions.
