Dalkeith Country Park’s “Spectacle of Light” is to return in 2021 for Edinburgh and Midlothian residents to enjoy this Christmas.
Following the success of the event in 2020, the impressive visual display will return to Fort Douglas adventure park and its surrounding areas, bringing winter visitors to Dalkeith.
The event will see tree top viewing platforms, a carpet of colour encircling the Orangerie and new installations for 2021 which include the Nutcracker Garden and the flickering Field of Fire.
Families will also be invited to take in a magical woodland walk as well as experiencing the new luminescent Bloom feature.
And of course mulled wine, hot chocolate, marshmallows to toast by the fire pit as well as hot food will be available around Fort Douglas and the Restoration Yard.
Those eager to attend the event can do so with 20 percent off for Early Bird tickets booked by September 30.
Family tickets range from the early bird price of £45.60 to between £51.30-£57.00 - with children’s tickets going for around £10 and adult tickets around £20. Disabled carers and under threes are granted free entry.
The event will run on December 4-5; 10-12; 16-23; 27-31 and on January 2.
Each evening has specific entry time slots every 30 minutes from 4.30pm to 7pm, with the typical experience taking approximately 75 minutes.
Although people are welcome to spend over or under their time at the event.
Access is granted at Fort Douglas gate at the chosen entry time - tickets are non-transferrable to another slot.
