A road closure and parking restrictions will be in-place on Friday while Scottish Water carry out sewer repairs on a busy Edinburgh route.
East Mayfield will be off-limits to traffic throughout the day at the junction with Dalkeith Road. Scottish Water say there will also be a lane closure on this stretch of Dalkeith Road and other parking restrictions in place. Access to some properties and businesses may be affected for the duration of the works, which are being carried out by Kier.
The busy route is used by many people heading into the city centre from the south of Edinburgh and parts of Midlothian.
A representative from Scottish Water will be present at the site throughout the day to talk to those directly affected, while access for emergency services vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times.
