Daley Blind names the three Manchester United players he keeps in touch with

Daley Blind admitted he will be cheering on his old Manchester United teammates in tonight's Manchester derby against City.

The Dutch international left United last summer to rejoin boyhood club Ajax, with whom he has reached the Champions League semi-finals after seismic wins over Real Madrid and Juventus.

And he revealed he's still in touch with United players Juan Mata, Anthony Martial and Ashley Young, who are all in contention to feature for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side against Man City at Old Trafford.

"When Solskjaer was appointed, there was a fresh positivity," said Blind, who played three Manchester derby victories for the Reds in his four-year Old Trafford stay.

Blind admitted that he's still a United supporter and will be watching their progress closely.

"They started well, but now they dropped a bit," he added.

"Hopefully they find their way to the top again, so they can qualify for the Champions League.

"I'm still a United fan, so I hope they're back in business soon.

"Some guys send me compliments. Juan Mata, Martial, and these are very nice things to hear. I still have a strong connection with these lads, like Ashley Young. They're such great guys. I had a good time there."
