Daley Blind explains how he feels about watching Manchester United compared to Chelsea FC

Former Manchester United defender Daley Blind has admitted it's not nice to watch his former side at the moment, especially when compared to watching Frank Lampard's Chelsea team.

Blind spent four years with the Reds, winning the FA Cup and Europa League, before leaving to rejoin Ajax where he has enjoyed plenty of success; reaching the Champions League semi final on their way to winning the Eredivisie title last year.

On the other hand, Manchester United have struggled since his departure with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 's men picking up just ten points in the Premier League so far this season.

Blind's Ajax face Chelsea in the Champions League on Wednesday and the Netherlands international has praised Lampard for bringing an attacking style to Stamford Bridge.

He admitted seeing the Blues flourish makes watching the current United side even harder.

"Of course I'm not happy to see Man Utd and how they're performing at the moment," Blind said at the pre-match press conference.

"I'm still a fan of United and it's not nice to see.

"Regarding Chelsea, they are doing well, they have a good philosophy under a manager who wants to play out from the back.

"They play different attacking football with a lot of youngsters and that's nice to see.

"From that perspective, it's good.

"But if you're talking about United then I'm not happy about that, of course."
