Doctor Who fans might want to brush up on their interstellar etiquette as the beloved BBC series is getting a crossover event in EVE Online, the space-faring MMORPG by CCP Games.
The EVE Online x Doctor Who event begins on Jan. 13 and runs until Feb. 1 in EVE Online. Players will find artifacts from Doctor Who’s Great Time War to track down and battle with the infamous Daleks. Kevin Jorge, senior producer at BBC Studios, seems pretty jazzed about the collaboration.
“EVE Online x Doctor Who not only brings two iconic universes together, but also the passionate Whovians with the just-as-passionate pilots of New Eden,” Jorge said in a press release. “By bringing the fanbases together, the already massive battles of EVE Online are sure to become even more explosive. Only time will tell if New Eden’s fiercest pilots have what it takes to challenge the might of the Daleks.”
CCP Games also shared an event trailer called The Interstellar Convergence, which you can check out below.

Crossovers are all the rage in video games these days, especially in Fortnite. EVE Online x Doctor Who stands out a bit because it’s the first cross-promotion event like this in the game’s history. When you consider that EVE Online came out nearly twenty years ago, that’s a big deal.
