Dale Earnhardt Jr. will miss Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup race in New Hampshire due to concussion-like symptoms, according to Hendrick Motorsports.
Earnhardt was evaluated in Charlotte, N.C., this week and was not cleared on Thursday to race this weekend. Alex Bowman will serve as a substitute driver for the No. 88 Chevrolet.
No timetable has been established for Earnhardt's return to NASCAR's top circuit. Earnhardt, who has a history of concussions, was in recent crashes at Michigan and Daytona.
