Dalbeattie Scout Group's Christmas card delivery service enters its sixth year

Dalbeattie Scout Group’s Christmas card delivery service is up and running for the sixth year.

Dalbeattie Scout Post will run until Friday, December 13, delivering cards within the town’s 30 mile per hour limit – and at 30p per card it’s cheaper than the cost of a second class stamp!

Simply pop your cards and fee in a sealed package and post it in the Scout postbox in McCowan and Son in the High Street or through the sorting office door at Jas P Wilson’s pop-up shop opposite the petrol station.

Scout leader, Wull Davidson, said: “Dalbeattie Scouts Christmas card delivery service is now a well established service for the
town.

“The post boxes close on Friday, December 13, and we will sort cards at our weekly Scout meetings and cards will be delivered by December 15.

“Hopefully it will be well supported again this year.

“Our post box is situated in McCowan and Son so write your cards with the full postal address and get them in our post box by December 13.”

Unfortunately, Castle Douglas Scouts are unable to run the service this year so any cards addressed for Castle Douglas will not be delivered.
