Dalbeattie people support Christmas lights festive fayre fundraiser

The bad weather didn’t prevent people in Dalbeattie showing their support for the town’s Christmas lights at the weekend.

A fundraising Christmas fayre took place in the town hall with a wide variety of stalls offering a range of items as well as refreshments.

Four of the workers who served up coffee and tea - Lewis Robson, Zoe Maxwell, Alison Elkins and Millie Robson (Bobby Geddes)

And the morning raised more than £900 for the lights which will be turned on tomorrow night.

The evening will include entertainment, fairground rides and Santa with the switch on by River City star and Dalbeattie native Kirsty Pickering. The extravaganza will run from 5.30pm to 7.30pm with Kirsty flicking the switch at 6.30pm.

She’ll also be judging the shop window competition.
