Dalbeattie High School’s Meggan Tandy has been chosen as one of 21 candidates from across the country to have their work published within the Scottish Review.
S6 pupil Meggan wrote a wonderful piece entitled How to respect a gay human which detailed her journey to find her identity within this world and for it not to be questioned.
Her work is available to read within the Scottish Review which was published on March 8.
Teacher Miss Lundy, who was in charge of collating the entries for the competition, said: “Meggan’s words have a further reach than she knows.”
