Dalbeattie got into the festive spirit recently as the town’s Christmas lights were switched on.
Hardrock Challenge organisers Andy Webster and Stuart MacIntosh were given the honour of flicking the switch in recognition of all they have done for the town over the years.
There was also an appearance from Santa, thanks to his pals at Dalbeattie Lions Club, a variety of stalls and music from local performers.
Lots of businesses stayed open late for the occasion with Cheryl Wallace of Flowers For You winning the prize for the Christmas shop window competition which was judged by Andy and Stuart’s wives.
