Dalbeattie business Kinnairds thanks local community by handing out £650 to good causes

A long-standing Dalbeattie business has thanked the local community for its support by funding three good causes in the town.

Kinnaird’s has donated cash to Dalbeattie Star FC, the Hardrock Challenge and a Dalbeattie High School team, planning a trip to Italy, with a total of £650.

Owner James Kinnaird, who is the third generation of the family to run the business, said: “We are putting a percentage of the profits back into the community.

“The town supports us and in return we support the town.

“We are giving £300 to Dalbeattie Star youth football team, £250 to the Hardrock Challenge and £100 to the high school for the Dalbeattie students’ trip to Italy for the Da Vinci Decathlon competition.”

James added: “I think it’s very important for local businesses to support local good causes.

“There are a lot a guys supporting Dalbeattie by giving up their time.

“We are delighted to be able to give something back to the town.”
