Dak Prescott expecting 'epic environment' Saturday night at AT&T Stadium

FRISCO, Texas _ The Cowboys have been one of the NFL's best teams at home this season. Only the New England Patriots have been better, going 8-0 at Gillette Stadium.

The Cowboys are 7-1 at AT&T Stadium, tying them with the Bears, Rams and Chiefs for the league's second-best home record.

What kind of environment are the Cowboys expecting for Saturday night's wild card game against Seattle?

"An epic environment," quarterback Dak Prescott said. "I can only just think back to two years ago, obviously my rookie year, playing the Packers and just how crazy that atmosphere was. Going down early like we did but then being able to come back and have that game be close right there at the end, and just remembering the crowd and everyone going crazy."

Prescott did have one request, though.

"I just hope when I signal for everyone to be quiet that they be quiet this game," he said, "knowing how important it is for us to communicate. Hopefully the fans are working well with us. But then when we're on defense, showing how loud they can be."

Cowboys linebacker Jaylon Smith said he's expecting an "electrifying" atmosphere, one that is giving him memories of Saturday night college games at Notre Dame.

"We're excited," he said. "We're going to be ready to go. Our fans are going to be out. We're looking forward to it."

Seattle has had a significant advantage at home for several years. CenturyLink Field is regarded as one of the loudest stadiums in all of sports.

Defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli is hoping the Cowboys will benefit from something similar.

"I think the guys just love it, and the crowd has been off the charts," Marinelli said. "Boy, the louder they are, the tougher it is on the offense. I feel it. I really feel a home-field advantage right now."
