Dak Prescott breaks Tom Brady's record for most attempts without an interception

GREEN BAY, Wis. _ Dak Prescott has made history.

The Dallas Cowboys rookie quarterback passed Tom Brady for most pass attempts without an interception to start a career.

Prescott entered Sunday's game eight pass attempts shy of breaking the record, and he reached the mark late in the first quarter on a 15-yard completion to Terrance Williams.

That marked the 163rd pass attempt by Prescott in his career, which is one better than Brady's previous record (162).

Prescott opened the game 5-for-5 passing, connecting with Cole Beasley for a 1-yard TD pass.

Prescott hasn't made a big deal about the record in recent weeks, saying much of it comes down to good fortune. He threw what should have been an interception in Week 4 at San Francisco, but 49ers safety Eric Reid dropped it.

Prescott has turned the ball over twice on fumbles. Three plays after setting the record on Sunday, he had a lost fumble.
