Daizen Maeda appears to be on his way to Celtic already as a Yokahama F.Marinos teammate shared a clip of him with his bags packed at the airport.
Celtic announced a stunning J-League triple swoop on Hogmanay with Maeda arriving alongside compatriots Yosuke Ideguchi and Reo Hatate.
The official timeline is that the deals will be concluded in "early January" with all three expected to be available for the Premiership returning on January 17th.
It means all three will be clear to face Hibs in Celtic's next game.
Maeda is the only of the trio who is not initially signing a permanent deal but a loan with an obligation to buy means it is effectively a transfer rather than a loan.
And it seems he has already packed his bags and is on his way to link up with Ange Postecoglou's side as Marinos keeper Yohei Takaoka shared a snap of him at the airport.
Takaoka, who came through the ranks at Yokohama FC and was signed for Marinos by Postecoglou in 2020, bid farewell to his outgoing teammate with two waving emojis.
And he also shared a video of his teammate boarding which you can view in the player above.
