Daisy May Cooper's mother-in-law denies This Country star marriage split

Daisy May Cooper's mother-in-law has denied reports that the This Country star has split from her husband.

According to the reports, the actress had grown “tired” of her two-year marriage amid the pressure of lockdown.

However, Pati Weston says the claims of Daisy and her husband Will are pure "fabrication" in a new interview.

She told MailOnline : "It’s all a fabrication, it’s not true - I can’t say any more than that."

The 34-year-old actress and Will married in 2019 and share two children together - Pip, two, and ten-month-old son Jack.

Sources had originally claimed that Daisy removed will as the director of her media business.

"Daisy said she had grown increasingly tired of married life and was struggling in her relationship with Will," the source said.

"They ended things for good earlier this year. She has taken off her wedding ring and has been telling her friends their marriage is over."

The insider told The Sun : "It’s been a tough 17 months for everyone and Daisy and Will were no exception".

They went on to say Daisy is "trying to move on with the support of her family and friends" and is "putting a brave face on the split".

Will is a landscape gardener who runs his own company called The Garden Plant Company, which specialises in advising on horticulture and supplying plants, trees, shrubs and more.

Will was Daisy’s long-term partner and the two swapped vows at a ceremony in The Cotswolds in September 2019.

The couple lived together in Fairford, Gloucestershire, with their young family.

Daisy and Will still haven't spoken up about the reports but the actress has been busy at work.

Instagram posts from earlier this week, as news of the split broke, showed Daisy was working on the new series of Never Mind The Buzzcocks.

After getting her break in Doc Marten in 2011, Daisy landed minimal TV roles for the following six years.

She won the 2018 BAFTA TV Award for Best Female Comedy Performance for her role as Kerry Mucklowe in the BBC Three series This Country – which she created in 2017 and writes with her brother, Charlie Cooper.
