Daisy Jones & The Six to bring rock 'n' roll mayhem to Prime Video - all you need to know

Has there ever been a more precarious - or downright exhilarating - career than being a rock 'n' roll star?

"It's better to burn out than fade away", Neil Young once sang, and that certainly rings true for fictional band Daisy Jones & The Six, which will land on Prime Video next year.

In a case of art imitating life, this highly-anticipated TV series - made in the style of a tell-all documentary - tells the tale of an iconic band imploding at the very peak of its powers.

Based on the best-selling novel by Taylor Jenkins Reid, Daisy Jones & The Six were on top of the world in 1977.

Fronted by two charismatic lead singers - the titular Daisy Jones (Riley Keough) and Billy Dunne (Sam Claflin) - the band certainly endured its fair share of obscurity before finding fame.

But unfortunately, following a sold-out show at Chicago's Soldier Field, they called it quits.

And now, decades later, the band members finally agreed to reveal the truth behind their decision to split.

The ten-part series also stars Camila Morrone as Camila Dunne, Will Harrison as Graham Dunne, Suki Waterhouse as Karen Sirko, Josh Whitehouse as Eddie Roundtree, Sebastian Chacon as Warren Rhodes, Nabiyah Be as Simone Jackson, and Tom Wright as Teddy Price, with a special guest appearance by Timothy Olyphant as Rod Reyes.
