Ayr United new boy Daire O'Connor is pledging to light up the Championship - and prove his lofty nickname is no fluke.
The exciting forward - once dubbed 'The Irish Messi' after a string of wonder performances in his homeland - has been lured to Somerset Park.
And the former Irish youth international is promising to get United fans off their seats after joining David Hopkin's revolution.
He told the Ayrshire Post: "When I first joined Cork City a couple of years ago, they were the biggest club in Ireland at the time and I was a bit of an unknown.
"I was chucked in at the deep end for my debut against Dundalk in a big game and put in a man of the match performance.

"It was one of those things where everything I tried on the pitch came off for me.
"The next day Pat Dolan, who is a really established and respected journalist in Ireland, did a two page article calling me the 'Irish Messi'.
"It came out of nowhere and the tag has lived on and kind of stuck with me.
"To be honest, it kind of put extra pressure on me at the time for both good and bad reasons.
"Whenever I have a good game I get the 'Irish Messi' stuff but people are quick to remind me when it's not so good!"
O'Connor, 24, has signed a one year deal at Somerset after being pursued by Hopkin throughout the summer.
And the player is hoping to take the Championship by storm as he moves across the Irish sea after leaving Cliftonville.

He said: "It's been a great experience back home and I've been settled both on and off the pitch.
"But I'm really keen to test myself in a new environment and this move ticks a lot of boxes for me.
"Proper full time football is a big carrot for me.
"There's only so much you can achieve in Ireland and I want to come here and see how far I can progress and take it to the next level.
"The manager here is extremely positive about the project and team he's building.
"Ultimately he was the one that convinced me and it was a no brainer to come here.
"I also know the likes of Aaron Drinan who've come here and done well, so it seems like a good club to be at."

O'Connor added: "I'm someone who drives at players and takes risks to create things.
"If I get the ball, more often than not my first thought will be to get forward and make things happen.
"I've done my research and know the first game is live on TV against the big rivals Kilmarnock, so I'll be prepared whether it's from the start or off the bench.
"It will be a great chance to get off to the perfect start with a win."
Boss Hopkin added: "Daire has great belief in his ability and I'm delighted to get him.
"We've had our eye on him for a while and he's someone with two good feet who is direct and will create for us.
"He's another important piece in the jigsaw and, along with James Maxwell coming in this week, is going to add real balance in the side going forward."
