The Daily Mirror has landed a hat-trick of top prizes at the British Journalism Awards.
Showbiz chief Tom Bryant won in the arts and entertainment category for his agenda-setting stories, including an exclusive on Jamie Oliver’s £5million deal with Shell.
His “impactful” stories “raised important social issues”, judges said. Environment editor Nada Farhoud took the science prize.
Judges praised her “first-hand investigation” to get stories on the impact of climate change on Arctic residents, and how British hunters were shooting endangered animals.
We also won Campaign of the Year for our fight for Helen’s Law, which could deny parole to killers who do not reveal where victims’ bodies are, headed by staffer Louie Smith and freelancer Fiona Duffy.

Editor Alison Phillips said: “We’re delighted judges saw what readers see every day – that the Mirror is the home of great journalism.”
Editor-in-chief Lloyd Embley added: “I am immensely proud.”
