PUNE: The daily liquid medical oxygen demand across Pune district is steady at around 90 metric tonnes (MT).
Experts said the oxygen demand, which reached around 350MT per day in April last year during the second wave peak, was likely to rise in the third wave too. FDA officials said government hospitals had been told to refill storage tanks with at least three days’ oxygen quota.
The district has three liquid medical oxygen manufacturers, who can produce around 250MT daily.
