We got one heck of a surprise this week when it was revealed that Donald Cerrone vs. Justin Gaethje will serve as the UFC on ESPN+ 16 main event Sept. 14 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Cerrone vs. Gaethje? Yeah, sign up everybody for that one. This matchup will be “straight fire,” as they say, nothing but two warriors standing and trading blow for blow until (probably) someone gets knocked out.
What a fight.
But here’s a question for you: Is it the best main event the UFC has booked so far in 2019?
Our friend over at TSN, Aaron Bronsteter, was adamant on Twitter that Cerrone vs. Gaethje is “a better main event than every pay-per-view main event that has taken place so far this year.”
That seemed like a bold take, considering some of the great headliners that have taken place so far. And so, we posed the question: Is Cerrone vs. Gaethje the best main event booked so far this year?
