BHOPAL: Daily Covid infections rose by nearly 18% in 24 hours amid continued hope of a slowdown.
Wednesday's count stood at 7,359, up from 6,243 on Tuesday, and the positivity rate also rose by 0.8 points to 9.4%.
Six more deaths were reported - the same as Tuesday - taking MP's Covid toll to 10,630. Three of the deaths were in Indore and two in Bhopal. Forty-one deaths have been reported in MP in the past week.
There are signs of a bending of the curve as recoveries continue to outnumber new infections - 9,696 people were discharged on Wednesday, leaving 53,951 active cases. Less than 2% of them are in hospital.
