Dagenham police incident: Four arrested after man found dead in house in Dagenham

Four men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found dead at a house in Dagenham.

Police were called to the property at 10.41am this morning after reports of an unresponsive man at the house.

When they entered the premises they found a man aged in his 30s dead and arrested four men on suspicion of murder.

Houses in the area were taped off and there was a large police presence on the road, according to witnesses.

A spokeswoman for the Metropolitan Police said: "Police were called at 10.41am on Saturday, April 20, to reports of a non-responsive male at a residential address at Hedgemans Road, Dagenham.

"Officers attended, at the scene a male, believed aged 30s, was found deceased.

"Four males were arrested on suspicion of murder.

"They have been taken to east London Police stations where they remain at this time.

"Officers remain on scene.

"The Homicide and Major Crime Command has been notified.

"Anyone with information who has not yet spoken with police is asked to dial 101 quoting CAD2547/2APR, Tweet @MetCC or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 5555 111."
