Dads can bag free Novotel hotel stays in return for corny and cheesy jokes

Dad jokes seem to only provoke two reactions; fits of laughter, or plenty of groans.

But if your father seems to think he's particularly hilarious, then it might be time to put his best joke to the test - and it could bag him a free UK hotel stay!

That's because Novotel is celebrating Father's Day this year by offering up heaps of free stays at its hotels across the UK, all in return for some of the nation's cheesiest jokes.

All your dad needs to do is share his corniest one-liner or cheesy joke, and he could nab a free overnight stay for two.

Good jokes, bad jokes, cheesy one-liners, puns and wisecracks all welcome.

For a chance to win one of the free rooms, dads need to post their favourite jokes on social media channels using the hashtag #NovotelDadjokes.

Or for fathers who don't use social media, you can also email in to Novotel at novotel@manifest.london .

However there's not much time to get those thinking caps on as the competition will end at midnight on Father's Day (Sunday 16th June 2019).

Winners will then be selected on Tuesday 18th June 2019.

The best part is that there are plenty of participating hotels across the likes of London, Liverpool, Bristol, Manchester, Newcastle, York and Nottingham, as well as plenty more, so there's ample opportunity for your dad to win a UK break.

Of course the risk is that if your dad does win, he can use it as proof that his jokes are funny and you may end up having to listen to even more cheesy quips!

James Wheatcroft, Vice President of Marketing for Northern Europe for Accor: "Whether they make you laugh or groan, everyone has a soft spot for the humble Dad joke, so to mark Father's Day we wanted to give Dads the chance to turn their favourite jokes and puns into bed and breakfast."
