Dad who had 'a genuine passion for everything he did' dies aged 37

A dad-of-two who had a "genuine passion for everything he did" has died at the age of 37.

Paul Ashmore, from Heswall, died on September 5 after suffering from complications relating to his cancer treatment.

The 37-year-old was suffering from Central Nervous System lymphoma, a rare type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma at the time of his death.

He had a long medical history and had previously been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma but later went into remission.

He leaves behind his wife Justine and two young daughters Claudia and Naomi.

Paul worked as a director at Aztec, an office fit-out and construction company based in Liverpool, where he had worked for the past 12 years.

Paying tribute to Paul, his colleagues said his "devastating and unexpected" death has left a "huge void" in their lives.

They said: "Paul was strong, resilient and resourceful. He was also very well thought of by his colleagues, clients and anyone who has the pleasure to meet him.

"It will take a long time for us to come to terms with the loss of Paul, he will be remembered with huge fondness."

Iain Peacock, Managing Director at Aztec said: “We miss Paul and his dynamism, enthusiasm as well as a genuine passion for everything he did. Paul was so enthusiastic during our recent MBO at Aztec, the driving force to a future he could mould”.

Tributes left on the fundraising page described Paul as a "true gent" and a "dedicated family man" who was "taken too soon from this world."
