Dad who died after wall collapsed on him in farm tragedy is pictured

A dad and another man died yesterday after a wall collapsed on them in a horrific tragedy on a farm.

Peter Walker, 53, was killed within minutes after the tall structure crumbled at around 10.10am on Myrehead Farm in Whitecross, near Falkirk.

The other victim, who was also pronounced dead at the scene, is yet to be named.

Two further people were rushed to hospital but it is not believed their injuries are life-threatening, Daily Record reports.

It is understood Mr Walker is from Blackburn, West Lothian .

Police Scotland are now probing the two deaths.

Chief Inspector Damian Armstrong, Local Area Commander for Falkirk said: "My thoughts and sympathies are with the families of those affected by this incident and a multi-agency inquiry at the farm is ongoing.

"If anyone believes they have any relevant information that may be of use to this investigation then please come forward and quote incident 1081 of the 6th May."

Myrehead Farm is in a remote and rural area east of Falkirk.

Local road closures were put in place while the emergency services attended.

The Health and Safety Executive has been informed of the incident.

A fire service spokeswoman said: "The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service responded at 10.11am on Monday with emergency service partners to a farm in the Falkirk area following reports of a collapsed wall.

"Operations control mobilised a number of fire appliances to the Whitecross area."

The investigation continues.
