Dad stunned after intruder breaks into house - and CLEANS every room

A stunned dad returned home to find it had been broken into and the intruder had cleaned almost every room - including giving the toilet a good scrub.

Nate Roman had feared the worst when his five-year-old son noticed the back door of their home in Marlborough, Massachusetts, was open.

The terrified 44-year-old crept inside anxious at the sight he may be greeted with, but instead saw his house was immaculate and nothing had been stolen.

He said: "I was immediately worried that someone was in the house."

However, the intruder had made all of the beds, stacked his son's stuffed animals, and left an origami rose on the toilet paper, reports Abc7 News.

Every room apart from the kitchen had been cleaned.

Nate said: "They scrubbed everything down. They did the shower, did the toilets."

Police said they were taking the case very seriously, but had no leads or suspects in the case.

Nate believes because of the toilet paper roses, it was probably a cleaning service that went to the wrong house.

However he's not taking any chances and has changed all the locks to his home.

Nate added: "It was terrifying to know someone was in your house."
