Dad spends eight months building incredible indoor castle tree house for kids

A devoted father spent eight months building an extraordinary tree house fort for his four children.

Jared Geddes, of Maple Valley, Washingston in the US, used tree barks and wooden floorboards to bring the wooden castle feel to life in the incredible den.

Amazing footage shows the mechanical engineer's hard work as he spent his spare evenings grafting in the tree house.

It took him eight months to finally turn it into a children's play paradise.

The fort has three stations with a bridge connecting each one.

There are also lookout views from the lower section where the children can play hide and seek.

The father-of-four also put a little bucket on a pulley system to allow the kids to lift their toys up to the upper floor.

Jared spent just £400 on his wooden fort as he sourced the wood from Vine Maple trees that his neighbour had cut down.

Posting the video on his YouTube channel The Evening Woodworker, Jared said: "This is about 8 months of evenings and some weekends condensed down into just a few minutes.

"I hope you enjoy it and get inspired to be creative with your projects!"

The video has gathered over 8,000 views where viewers named him 'the most awesome dad of the year'.

One said: "I have never built anything and I'm inspired to create this for my son. This is amazing!"

Another one agreed and write: "Looks like a movie set. So amazing."
