A brave dad was slashed across the back by a knife-wielding robber as he tried to protect his baby girl while she sat in her pram.
The protective father, aged in his 30s, was confronted by the masked attacker in the street and stood over his pram to shield his 22-month-old daughter.
He was then slashed across the back with a blade during the horrifying incident which took place on a residential street in Bournville, Birmingham, on Monday.
The thug fled the scene empty-handed and a knife was later discovered in the area by police.

DS Marc Petford, from force CID, said: "This was a terrifying situation as the victim was left fearing for the safety of his daughter and himself.
"It's important we identify this man as soon as possible."
The victim was not seriously injured and officers are now examining CCTV and carrying out further enquiries to identify the offender.
West Midlands Police said they had stepped up patrols in the area and are asking anyone who may have seen or heard anything to get in touch urgently.
