When it comes to doing housework, there are unfortunately still people among us that believe it's the woman's job to clean the home.
And for some men it's the case that in order to tidy up their own mess, they need to be offered a type of reward in return.
Recently an Instagram star came under fire when she joked that her husband only helped with the housework to 'get lucky'.
Now another couple are causing a stir, after the dad's reward chart for doing chores was shared online.
A photo of the bizarre chart was uploaded to Reddit's Feminism forum, where the poster wrote: "A sticker reward chore chart for dads? Really??"
It shows that for each time the dad does a job around the house, he earns a Disney princess sticker which takes him one step closer to a reward - such as a 12 pack of his favourite beer, no nagging for a week, a naked hula dance from his wife and other various other sexual favours.
In order to claim these prizes, the unnamed man must wash the dishes, remember to put the toilet seat down, change his child's nappy, bath the rug rats, pack the kids' lunches, hoover the car and clean up when someone throws up.
If he does each task six times, he is rewarded for all his efforts, seemingly while his partner does everything else for nothing in return.
People on Reddit were appalled by the chart.
One user commented: "Chore chart for a husband. I get that the spirit of this is humour, but it just makes me feel a little sick. It just doesn't feel right to offer up sexual intimacy for housework or child care. Could you imagine if this were a chore chart for a wife??
"It also perpetuates the myth of the incompetent dad. Men don't need a reward chart like this to participate in routine activities of daily living."
Another branded it "denigrating and childish"
"Infantalising men and rewarding them (especially with sexual favour) for doing the most basic of tasks - mainly helping in the functioning of your SHARED family - is one of the worst symptoms of toxic masculinity," added a user on Twitter who also saw the post.
However not everyone thought it was such a bad idea.
A different user replied: "It seems harmless to me. It's just another method to help motivate someone who seems to have trouble being motivated. To me it's akin to a swear jar."
Someone else wrote: "Maybe it's because I'm male and lazy, but this seems like a really good idea."
