A pipe fitter lost 9st 3lb in under a year after he became so fat that he got stuck between floorboards.
Daniel Mann, 32, weighed 24st 8lb when he got stuck going from one floor to another while fitting pipes in a Victorian property.
The dad of two was unable to move and howling with laughter when he became trapped. He was only freed when one colleague pulled his arms while another pushed from below.
Daniel, from Halifax, Yorkshire, said: “I called for help and when they saw me, they just burst out laughing.
“Even though I could see the funny side and started laughing, I was really embarrassed.”
Weeks later, in April last year, Daniel and his wife Deborah, 31, joined Slimming World.
Daniel ended his binges on pizza and fish and chips and cut back on sandwiches of sausage, bacon, cheese and black pudding.
His daily food intake now includes oats for breakfast, salad for lunch and Slimming World recipes for spaghetti bolognaise and stew for dinner.
Nine months on, he is down to 15st 5lb and his waist has dropped from size 44 to 34.
Daniel’s Slimming World consultant, Tamina Oates, said she is “incredibly proud” of him.
