Brian told the Sun of the moment wife Nicola opened the bedroom door and shouted ‘fire’.
He said: “I ran out and the whole hall was orange. I managed to run out with my wife then went back in for my son who, of course, never heard anything. My dog Taz bolted inside so I had to go in a third time and get him before running through the flames around the door.
“I ended up with a burned arm but other than that, I’m OK.”
The blaze started at around 3.10am at the house in Renfrew's Western Park Gate.
