Dad's romantic proposal on steps of Buckingham Palace

An army veteran organised a Cinderella-style proposal for his partner of seven years on the steps at Buckingham Palace.

John Brady, 29, bought a Disney Enchanted Cinderella ring for his fiancée Natasha O’Brien, 27, and proposed in front of 2,000 people on May 12. The couple first went to the palace as tourists a year after they started dating in December 2015 – and, 2,350 days later, John has asked Disney fan Natasha to marry him.

The couple, who are from Bootle and now live in Aintree, have three kids and with a fourth baby on the way. They have been together since November 2014 when John messaged Natasha on Facebook to ask her on a date.

Ryanair warning to all passengers due to fly with the airline

Amid reports of travel chaos at airports across the country, airline Ryanair has issued a warning to all passengers.

It comes as people report being caught up in travel chaos in recent weeks, with flights delayed or cancelled. One family even had to spend €500 on clothes and toiletries after all their suitcases went missing when they flew to Fuerteventura from Manchester.

Manchester Airport previously issued a statement after much disruption as passengers try to jet off for half-term. The airport apologised and said it is "not the experience" it wanted for passengers

Queen's Platinum Jubilee live updates as four day bank holiday weekend begins

The Queen's four-day Platinum Jubilee bank holiday weekend begins today with the traditional Trooping the Colour military spectacle, involving more than 1,500 officers and soldiers and 350 horses from the Household Division.

This evening, more than 3,000 beacons will be set ablaze across the UK and the Commonwealth.

There will be no ceremonial journey to the service of thanksgiving at St Paul's Cathedral for the Queen on Friday, and the monarch, if she attends, will use a different entrance rather than scaling the steep steps.

And the Queen's planned visit to Epsom for the Derby on Saturday is off, with members of the royal family attending on her behalf.
