Mum's furious rant about husband's shopping fail has parents laughing

With schools finally set to reopen next month, parents across the UK are preparing to send their little ones back.

And with a new school term comes a new school uniform - a shopping trip that can be dull at the best of times.

With that in mind, one mum asked her partner to buy some gym shoes for their son - a simple enough task, or so you'd think.

After getting everything organised for the kids to go back to school at the end of summer, including putting name labels in all of the uniform, the mum-of-two delegated one remaining task to her hubby.

Her husband was asked to purchase some black shoes for their son to wear during P.E. lessons.

He later presented her with the shoes, but the mum was frustrated when she spotted a rookie mistake, reports the Mirror.

Instead of a pair of Plimsolls, her husband had bought a pair of black floral school shoes - not exactly the kind of agile gym shoes that can breed sporting excellence. Oops.

To vent her disappointment, the mum took to Facebook to share a sweary rant about the situation - and fellow parents found it incredibly relatable.

Writing on her blog  Sweary Mum to 2 and a Man-child, she said: "Not even f***ing joking you. B starts school in two days. Two b*****ding days.

"I’ve organised his school uniform. I’ve organised those little name stickers that stick to f***ing everything. I’ve bought a school bag. I bought him a personalised water bottle. I bought him a gym kit bag. I got him his school shoes.

Plans to reopen schools, call to close pubs unless contract tracing is fixed, quarantine free list changes and more Coronavirus Headlines on August 10

"And I say to [him]... 'Can you please order him the gym shoes please for school?'

"Because he can’t possibly f**k up black gym shoes can he...

"But look what the f***ing t**t orders.."

Blimey. She wasn't wrong when she said she's sweary.

Parents rushed to comment on the post, with many finding it hilarious.

"Aww doll this is a peach ..... brilliant. Never leave a man in charge of school stuff. Lesson learned," said one.

Another wrote: "I honestly can’t cope. Tell me he at least lied and said they’d sent the wrong ones."

"Absolutely crying with laughter," posted someone else.

I think we may be acting a little too harshly on the dads of this world here, guys. He tried his best, and it really isn't the end of the world.
